Escape reality while you learn something new

Have you always wanted to learn to make your own candles, or tried your hand at floral arranging, clay hand building, macrame, attend a vision board workshop or just want to escape reality for a few hours for some fun in the beautiful countryside? Willowvale Road workshops cater to everyone.

In 2018 Caroline needed a bigger premises to house her candle making business, so with her husband Paul, designed a  Shou Sugi Ban (a traditional Japanese method of burning timber cladding) barn to combine her candle making business with added space for a range of workshops. Surrounded by working dairy farms, this space is not only beautiful inside with hand crafted barn doors, rustic old bridge rafters & an abundance of greenery, the views across the rolling hills to the ocean & Gerringong are spectacular. Originally all workshops were Candle & Diffuser making afternoons, hosted by Caroline, but with so many participants returning for a second time, other workshops are now on offer to add more variety. Caroline has met some very talented & passionate local artisans and has partnered with some of the very best to offer a variety of experiences in her workshop space.

Whether you choose a candle making workshop afternoon, a whole day multiple experience workshop, or an evening workshop, you'll be guaranteed minimum inclusions including individual Charcuterie Grazing Boxes for lunch or dinner, a glass of premium Crooked River Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir (you will pass this winery as you turn onto our road), locally baked morning or afternoon tea, a variety of loose leaf teas from the Berry Tea Shop, Daily Grind Coffee (roasted in Gerringong) and our own fresh lime sparkling mineral water. All food is made with love by our neighbour (& renown wedding cake specialist), Willow Hill Cakes. As you can probably guess, supporting local is incredibly important to us.

Below you will find the current offering of workshops. As new workshops are released, website subscribers are the first to be notified.
